Custom Teams are arbitrary groups of people that you can use to filter and group metrics by. Typical use-cases for Custom Teams are:

Representing Scrum teams
Representing matrix organizations
In general, representing any group of people that does not fit within a hiearchical model

Teams have 2 levels of visibility, captured by the ownership field:

user means that the team is only visible by the current user. Teams belonging to other users are therefore not returned.
company means that the team is visible by the whole company
